Together with our local agent, J.K. Machiery, TAAI Machinery showed TA series machines in PLASTASIA 2016.
PLASTASIA, originated in Bangalore, India, is one of the three major plastic exhibitions in India. In 2014, the organizer TRIUNE Co., Ltd. established REED TRIUNE Co., Ltd. in cooperation with the global exhibition giant Encouragement Exhibition Air Group. The 5th International Rubber and Plastic Exhibition of India will be held from March 3 to 6, 2016. PLASTASIA will become an international rubber and plastic exhibition in New Delhi.
Domestic demand for plastics in India: India is one of the fastest growing countries in the world, with an average annual growth rate of 16%, compared with 10% in China and about 2.5% in Britain. This trend is likely to continue because of the growing middle class (estimated at 50 million people today) and low per capita plastic consumption (currently only 8 kilograms per person). The Plastindia Foundation of India estimates that the country’s per capita plastic consumption may even reach 16 kilograms by 2015. At the same time, according to the British Plastics Federation, injection moulding, accounting for 58%, extrusion moulding, accounting for 30%, blow moulding, accounting for about 10%, and other technologies, accounting for only 2% of the major plastic processing technologies in India.
India Bentu Plastic Enterprise: The plastic market in India consists of about 25,000 companies with over 3 million employees. In 2009, India’s domestic polymer production capacity was 5.72 million tons. The western state of Gujarat is the leading plastics processing industry center in India, with more than 5,000 plastics manufacturers.
Indian Plastics Import: Attablekanuga, vice president of the Indian Plastics Research Institute, claims that a large number of machinery and equipment are imported from abroad, mostly from Taiwan and Malaysia. China Injection Molding Machine Manufacturer Terry Machinery Co., Ltd. and its Indian partner S&TEngineers Ltd. The company is considering assembling and manufacturing parts of plastic machines in India to better open up the local market.
